Abstract/summary

Funded by the Norwegian Retailers’ Environment Fund, the Accelerating EPR Knowledge series aimed to create an enabling environment for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in Chile, India, South Africa, and the UK. Through business engagement, networking, and knowledge sharing between Plastics Pacts in these countries, the initiative sought to establish best practices for replication and improve global understanding of EPR development and implementation. The project involved a series of webinars, business surveys, focus groups, and workshops, which are summarised in the report found below. It highlights key findings, challenges, and opportunities related to effective EPR systems, identifying best practices that can be adapted to support successful EPR implementation in other regions.
