This report predicts the quantities of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) arising in the UK now and in future and estimates material flows through the different parts of the treatment system after the decision is made by the user to dispose. As part of the project an Excel-based WEEE flows mass balance model was developed. This model can be flexed to assess the likely impact of changes to the assumptions in this report about where and how WEEE is treated and the likely impact of future changes in the composition of the WEEE stream as purchasing and disposal habits change.
