• This is the first comprehensive study on flows and quantities of WEEE in Denmark. • Performance of the existing WEEE management system is thoroughly diagnosed. • New legislative targets require more efficient collection and management of WEEE. • Robust and systematic documentation of the flows will support resource recovery.
