This report aims to achieve the following: • Outline the key trends in the development of national and pan-national approaches to WEEE Directive compliance in the initial phase of development; • Present a balanced overview of the opinions of key experts working in government, compliance organisations and industry as to the key challenges involved in the implementation of the Directive; • Identify opportunities for harmonisation and improvement in the way the Directive is being implemented across the Member States; • Provide feedback to the European Commission on potential areas for review in 2008.
