Valipac is the Belgian non-for-profit EPR Scheme for industrial and commercial packaging waste. Valipac main mission is to certify the amount of industrial and commercial packaging waste put on the market and the amount recycled, and to stimulate collection and recycling by giving financial incentives. Valipac is an additional cost model, relying on partnership with industry and waste management companies. Since the development of a circular economy is essential for Valipac to maintain its performance, Valipac is investing heavily in projects to incorporate PCR in packaging and to stimulate Design for Circularity of industrial packaging at its members.
