Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a suite of policy tools for reducing the generation of wastes by promoting greater recycling and resource recovery and encouraging more sustainable product design. The concept of EPR and purpose is proposed. Three recovery modes and characteristics of the EPR are analyzed and corresponding implementation measurements are proposed. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
